The wheels on the bus go.......

There are so many ways to get around London.......

We arrived in this classic London cabbie

and toured the city in a double decker bus.............
but I loved the Reeses peanut butter cup cab                                    and the union jack cab was cute
Brian couldn't decide whether to rent a bike or buy this little beemer.....

<but I talked him in to this gorgeous mini

and this one is for         when we retire in           Texas.....>

I just tried to walk thru Hyde park and ended up with a hitch hiker.......

and even the 'bobbies' travel in style...............

                                      St. Paul has one too..............

Harry Potter's owl Hedwig found one to perch on.............Even Prince William & Kate have one

So is it any wonder I love London town........and Big Ben's Westminster chime is music to my clock loving ears...........

Elementary my dear......muslims

I was so excited to see the Sherlock Holmes museum on Baker St.

We enjoyed a meal and a walk to Westminster Abbey......but along the way we ran into a protest
So I was so glad to see this cute Bobbie and to know that Scotland Yard was nearby.

I loved the contrast of this 'little' Beefeater and the tall (very handsome) soldier and wished they had been by my side as we strolled under Big Ben and through.......

all these muslims

I just wanted to hear Big Ben's beautiful Westminster chime......but all I hear is Ahab the Arab......

Brian tried to get in to 10 Downing to complain to PM David Cameron but......

A Royal Weekend Welcome

What a Royal reception we received at Buckingham Palace.......
they went all out with changing of the guard

We really got a kick out of the matching 'Salt & Sargent Pepper' guards......

The beautiful memorials, statues, fountain & sculptures were awesome.......

but Brian enjoyed the 'cone heads' best of all........
and the marching band played beautifully.......
but, the Queen was out of town so she missed us this time :)

Eye over London

For years I have wanted to ride the EYE over London........
It never stops.....you must keep walking and jump aboard......wheee
It was a little scary at first but then you get so overwhelmed with the beautiful view that you forget how high in the sky you are and wander around the pod freely, looking for all the sights below.....
It rained a little up at the top.......
You know I had to have my picture taken with Big Ben.......that's the clock in the background...lol
and what awesome sights we saw over the Thames..........
Can you tell what a thrill it was........absolutely loved it!
