From Dover to Dover

I never thought that I ever would've lived near Dover NJ where my mom grew up let

alone someday visit the white cliffs of Dover England......a dream come true.

It was a beautiful 2.5 mile hike along the top of the chalk & flint cliffs to......

Brian's favorite.........a very interesting lighthouse :)   and of course there was
Dover Castle that we got to be King & Queen of for a day

The War Tunnels were an awesome tour.....they were actually built during the Napoleon wars but reinforced and expanded for WWII. And you can see France from here

Checking off the Bucket List

If you didn't already know Brian is quite the war buff.
So it was a pleasure to take him to Normandy for his bday.
Utah beach is breathtaking, the bomb craters are still there along with the German bunkers.

To see the National Cemetery was humbling and very emotional to say the least. To see brothers buried next to one another and to see that this was not the only 'known but to God' marker.

After our tour we had the pleasure of eating at Poulette in Paris with Crystal and tasting the fine cuisine of none other than her hubby Brendan.

And I also got to have a treat going to a totally awesome Osmond Brothers concert :) check
