We met up with these happy kids in Chicaago

It was so much fun to spend the weekend with some family :)

And end up at this wonderful place.....

Baa Baa King of the Hill..............

 In the field down the road from us they have put their sheep out to graze......but what they do when they're not eating is play King of the Hill ........which I think is hilarious.

this poor feathered guy struts around my 'garden' calling for his girlfriend.......and can't seem to find her

 The snow is now gone but the cold weather is still here but my 'garden' is full of paperwhites, daffodils are popping up everywhere........I can't wait for spring......

Best Gift Ever

I got to meet my Munro cousin MaryDarlene (our Dad's are brothers)
and became instant friends & sisters in the gospel 

What a great Christmas gift I got this year.....  I got to meet a cousin I'd never met before, be an answer to a prayer, witness a miracle and see part of my patriarchal blessing fulfilled.........

and got to go to California to meet her friends & missionaries

and share in a wonderful baptism.  So happy to
finally have a blood relative in our gospel family :)

Christmas British Style

I taught the YW how to make sugar cookies and they decorated them beautifully

we then delivered the cookies to the 'old folks' home

The YW sang Christmas carols and the residents
enjoyed it sooo much

Phillips 66 hosts a Christmas 'panto' for it's employees
and we got to be the helpers & hand out all kinds
of goodies to all the good little boys & girls

Brian got to be the center of attention of the cast,
especially Cinderella's step-sisters

We also had a wonderful time at the Stake
1940's dance.....

Thornton Abbey

Welcome to Thornton Abbey's Gatehouse
It's very close to our home & very interesting,
beautiful and fun to explore

Come inside with me.......

Built in 1139-1148 it's been falling apart for some time
but they save the pieces

It's beautiful inside and this is just the gatehouse

This spiral staircase took us down 

this pillar to exit

Isnt' it awesome

The church here was funded by the wool they raised and there are still sheep here on the
grounds guarding the ruins.......this one looked pregnant thus the mean face....lol

it was huge at one time

not much left but it in it's day it was an amazing edifice,  darn that Henry VIII
